More powerful skills need high-tier blank skillbooks and by the time you have access to them you may as well just buy them normally. Also it's worth noting that the healing from this spell will NOT provide magic armor via the Living Armor talent, despite being healing as a result of a spell effect, and not a passive stat or surface. Crafting your own skillbooks isn't nearly as useful as it was in the first game. ![]() With a high enough hydrosophist and necromancy rank, combining this spell with shackles and pain can result in a state of psudo-invulnerability until one of the two effects fade or for the target/victim dies, provided any damage taken does not exceed the remaining vitality of the caster. If you combine a skill book with another skill book then you get a brand new skill that requires both classes. For example, at hydrosophist 5 the 25% bonus to healing seems to be a 25% increase to the 50% leech (.5 * 1.25) This, however, only seems to provide the aforementioned bonus to the character WITH the hydrosophist ranks, and will not come in to play when cast on other targets or using the aura version of this spell. This means that the cheap Backlash spell from Scoundrel would make the same spell if you swapped it in for the more expensive Sleeping Arms spell. Note that the specific spell doesn't matter, just that the skill is from the proper skill. For a source version, just make one of the two books a source book. Its basically any magic skill with any "physical" skill. Just take any of the four magic schools, Hydro, Pyro, Geo or Aero and combine those with any of the other skills. Should you be interested in how it works, without me telling you any specific recipes, mouse over below. So from those moments on, you should be trying to experiment on your own. The game won't really teach you all the recipes in any way that you'd "acquire them when it's time appropriate so to speak." The game drops hints that you can craft them. ![]()
